    How to use

Step 1: Squeeze ½ tube of the Hair Color Creme into disposable bowl. Tightly screw the cap back on and save for your next use.
Step 2: Add 1 packette of Developer Color Activator to a bowl and mix thoroughly using the applicator brush.
Step 3: With gloves on, apply mixture to your noticeable gray areas first, usually the hairline and part line. Apply product generously.
Step 4: To cover additional areas, use the tip end of the applicator brush to part the hair in ¼˝– ½˝ (0.5 - 1 cm) sections and continue to apply until the desired areas are complete.
Step 5: Put processing cap on, and set a timer and wait for 45 minutes while hair is processing.
Step 6: Using lukewarm water, rinse out color until water runs clear. For best results, follow with dpHUE's Color Fresh Shampoo and Conditioner.

    FAQ
What’s the difference between the Root Touch-Up Kit and the Root Touch-Up Kit for Resistant Grays?
Both kits offer beautiful salon-quality gray coverage at home, but they’re designed for different gray coverage challenges:
    • Root Touch-Up Kit Regular
Ideal for most people. This is best for grays that cover easily and consistently with traditional permanent color. It provides natural-looking, long-lasting coverage and blends seamlessly with your hair color.

    • Root Touch-Up Kit for Resistant Grays
This is an extra-coverage formula specifically formulated for grays that are coarse, stubborn, and just won’t stay covered, even after a color session. It delivers deeper pigment penetration for longer-lasting results and full coverage for those who have tried regular formulas and still see grays peeking through.

    • Note:If your current kit is working well, there’s no need to switch. But if you’ve noticed your grays are still visible right after applying regular hair color or don’t take color evenly, Root Touch-Up Kit for Resistant Grays may be a better fit.

How do I know if I need the Root Touch-Up Kit for Resistant Grays?
    Ask yourself:
  • Have you used a root touch-up product before—ours or another brand—and noticed that your grays are still showing after coloring?
  • Do you feel like your grays don’t fully take the color, or fade faster than the rest of your hair?
  • Is your gray hair coarser, thicker, or more difficult to manage than your non-gray strands?
  • Do you have 50% or more gray hair?
  • Do you get very uneven or patchy coverage?

  • If you answered yes to any of these, the Root Touch-Up Kit for Resistant Grays is likely the right solution for you. It's formulated to grip and hold color on even the most resistant strands.

My current hair color covers my grays just fine. Should I switch to the Resistant Grays formula just to make my color last even longer?
If your grays are covering well and lasting with the regular the Root Touch-Up Kit, stick with it for the best shade match and natural results.

The Resistant Grays formula has stronger pigment designed specifically for grays that don’t take color well, even immediately after an application and rinse. Using this version when you don’t need it could result in a deeper, more intense root color and darker result than your current shade.

How do I select my shade?
We recommend choosing the Root Touch-Up Kit-X shade closest to your natural root color by using the images associated with each permanent shade.

We advise not going lighter when selecting a kit. dpHUE Root Touch-Up Kits are not intended for all-over hair color, but rather a permanent way to tackle roots between salon visits. So, this is not the time to experiment with other shades and colors; stick with your color and say "See ya!" to gray.

Will the Root Touch Up Kit for Resistant Grays Lighten my hair?
The Root Touch Up Kit is not meant to lighten hair although permanent hair color can cause hair lightening or darkening. For best results, select a shade within one shade of your natural color. Tip: if between two colors, choose the lighter shade.

Why do I leave the Root Touch-Up Kits on my hair for 45 minutes?
Unlike many other quick-fix root touch-up kits, dpHUE’s formula is permanent and designed to give you complete gray coverage.

To allow the product to fully absorb into the hair’s follicle, 45 minutes is recommended. Just the right amount of time to make it work right...and to put your feet up and say hi to us on Instagram.

Can the Root Touch-Up Kits be used for all-over hair color?
No, we recommend using it just on your roots...so you can keep color fresh (and grays at bay!) between salon visits.

Can I save the leftover color in the bowl for another use?
No, you cannot keep color once it's mixed. After being exposed to air for a period of time it will not work.

Each Root Touch-Up Kit comes with all you need for two root and hairline touchups. It's best to only use 1/2 of the color each time you need it and preserve the rest in the original tube. Attempting to keep color in the bowl could compromise the formula and the results, so we don’t recommend it.

When I’m ready to apply my second application, the color of the product appears to have changed within the tube. Will it still work the same way?
It is normal to see a small amount of crème get darker as it can oxidize when it’s in contact with air. Squeeze the tube gently to remove the darker portion of the crème before using the rest of the tube and mixing the developer. The product should perform exactly the same way as the first time you used it.

Is there ammonia in the Root Touch-Up Kits?
There is a very low amount of ammonia which is necessary to achieve the best results.

Our hair color is made in Italy and the formula is both gentle and conditioning. BTW, ammonia substitutes are not necessarily gentler.

What is the difference between dpHUE Root Touch-Up Kits and other touch-up kits?
Many other root coverage solutions, especially in drug stores, offer semi-permanent quick fixes.

Our color, on the other hand, is permanent and lasts much longer. Also, it is designed by professional colorists who understand hair color and how to best cover gray roots in a way that looks natural, and still cares for your hair.

    Is the color permanent?
Yes. But just like your salon color, it will fade gradually over time. Hair grows 1/4" per month so the new growth always needs to be covered.

Do I need to actually mix the color?
The only mixing required is to simply stir together the color and the developer. Voilà!

When should I use my Root Touch-Up Kit?
Whenever those grays try to rule your life! Everyone’s “gray creep” is different, but most people touch up roots every 3-4 weeks.
